The Civil War almost began in 1832 when Jackson sent ships enforce the unfair tariffs in South Carolina.

A good case can be made that the war was in fact a war of aggression.

BTW, one of the selling points to get the constitution ratified was that states could withdraw from the union.

Are you suggesting the Founding Fathers lied?
