I posted this on another thread but--when they had their press conference today, the Judiciary committee was standing behind Specter. The reporters kept asking Hatch and others questions and Specter didn't seem to want to give up the mic.
The only senator that I saw that came close to satisfying me was Lindsay Graham (who I usually think is squishy). He acknowledged all of the phone calls and e-mails he received and that he knows that he owes them. He said that in the 2 years he has been in judiciary, Specter hadn't done anything to go against Bushs nominees. But, he said, if in the future he (Specter) doesn't live up to his promises, then Graham said he (Graham) could be held responsible by the constituents.
What on earth happened to him since impeachment? He was very good as a House Manager.

I admit that was decent and respectful. At least he isn't openly arrogant like some of the others.

He's willing to put himself on the line here. I wonder whether Graham would lead the fight against Specter, if Snarlin' Arlen decides to kick up his heels, or turn squishy.
Just a thought: I wonder why Sessions is going along with crowd.
