You talk as though there's only 2 choices.

In National elections, there ARE only two viable choices. One can vote 3rd party to 'make a statment', but it doesn't get the person you want elected, it only helps create a situation in which the person you DON'T want gets elected.

With the Repubs. in charge of the Senate and House Committees, there is some chance to continue to chip away at the intransigence of the abortion lobby; with Dems. in power, there's no way to move forward at all.

Oh it makes a statment alright, as long as enough people do it. This is what it's building into. The time for voting the lesser of two evils is coming to a close as people see how republicans govern just like democrats.
