General Baron Johan DeKalb (Washington, Continental Army, Valley Forge, Lafayette, Franklin, et. al.)
In 1825, a monument was erected in honor of Baron DeKalb and the cornerstone was laid by Lafayette on his visit to the United States. On one side of the marker is carved:
"His love of Liberty induced him to leave the old world to aid the citizens of the new in their struggle for independence".
I find it interesting that the name DeKalb here in the U.S., is related closely to "Liberty" and "Independence". Just some of the reasons that Osama and his band of terrorists hate us. They also hate the fact that we are intent on spreading "Liberty" and "Independence" to the oppressed Muslim countries. It seems that most of the tapes refer to getting the U.S. out of Muslim countries. I know that this may been an extreme stretch to connect dots...but I just wanted to put it out there as an interesting connection.

The recent plane crash from DeKalb-Peachtree airport, when 2 small planes crashed into 2 different buildings recently.
One plane flew out of DeKalb and the other Detroit (I think)
There was also a bomb *diffused* in the not too distant past at the DeKalb Mall.
