What's he gonna do if she does survive, give him a holiday vacation? If I were in charge, that guy would already be dead, no trail, no jury, just me, the executioner! The reason we have so much trouble in the country right now with crime is because we're letting these animals get out and multiply and create more human garbage to continue to plague our nation. One bullet, one dead criminal, end of story.

I don't think that there is capital punishment anywhere in the US for attempted murder.

Which does not make sense to me, but the prosecutor's hands are tied.
