They would be all over it if they were white, like Scott, Lacy, and Connor Petterson. Since he's black AND hispanic, it would be double racism to mention it. Also, they hate mentioning that the unborn child is a person, and that there were TWO victims. Isn't political correctness, diversity, tolerance, and being "pro-choice" (pro infanticide) wonderful? /sarcasm
And the fact that a member of Kerry's base just shot a pregnant soldier's wife isn't goood for the Left either.
