I'm a part-time newspaper reporter. Yesterday, I was in the newsroom as the afternoon paper came out, and copies were distributed to each reporter. A young (unattractive, overweight) female reporter saw the rather large close-up photo of Condi on page one and started making fun of her appearance, her lipstick, etc. A male reporter, whom I already knew to be a rabid Kerry supporter, egged her on, saying, "Yeah, she's so ugly she's almost cute."
I gave him a look of utter disgust and horror at his hatefulness. He saw me, gulped and shut up in a hurry.
