I am genuinely skeptical of angry mobs' motives; a large number of FReepers are acting as if this is some sort of shameful act that must be concealed from view at all costs, including killing the journalist who filmed it.

Having been a Marine doesn't give you anymore credentials in this debate. There have been more than a few former Vietnam combat vets who have shown their true colors in the last year, and they don't deserve my respect. One decorated veteran that comes to mind is Wesley Clark. There are many, many other examples. I wouldn't want to depend on that twerp to cover my back in a fight.
