I'm not afraid of the truth

Nonsense. Your hostility to Poohbah's "let the truth be seen, warts and all" position reveals otherwise.

I am concerned about the effect that the MSM has on public opinion

Public opinion is a healthy republic is shaped by access to as wide a variety of information as possible, within legitimate constraints of national security and personal privacy.

I'm sure that left-wing Democrats are "concerned" about the effect rational economic analysis has on "public opinion" toward their agenda. By your reasoning, Democrats should be allowed to suppress the study of economics.

Because the MSM cannot be left to responsibly report the news they should be disallowed from reporting on this or any other war in which the United States military is involved. That is until they have proven themselves to be loyal first and always to the United States of America.

It is the MSM and their abetment of the knee-jerk, anti-McCarthyite intellectuals of the 1950s and 1960s that has landed us in the media mess we have today. Without the meddling from the MSM, the United States would have roundly defeated the communist 'insurgents' in Vietnam and the generation of baby-boomer naysayers would have been relegated to the back of the bus where they belong. Instead, we have been forced to listen for the last forty years as the MSM has successfully stifled all but a few conservative voices.

Fortunately, God in His mercy has chosen this time in history to provide an apparently righteous man to guide our nation. By W's leadership I believe we can see this war through to a victorious end in spite of attempts by weak minded elements on the Right and the tireless harpies on the Left.
