Those blankets were the smoothest most comfortable things!
I bought one for my sister for her wedding president in 81, she STILL has it and it is in excellent shape!

I just mailed off four blankets to my mother, plus pillowcases! She's having BOTH her rotten Soldiers home this Christmas and I wanted us all to be warm and toasty!
The exciting thing is that my brother is bringing his family and this will be the first time we've all been together since I got married, and I've been divorced since 2000!
