Maybe, if German troops had followed the Marine's SOP in the WWII Pacific Island campaigns of shooting every "dead" Jap they found to make sure, Stalingrad would have had a different outcome, too.
No mercy. No prisoners. No more live "insurgents".
Screw the UN; screw Geneva; screw all ideas of "civilized" warfare against the uncivilized.
