About a year ago, Keillor brought part of his show team to Florence SC to help raise money for the new Florence library. He put on quite a dazzling show complete with song, stories, jokes, etc. Imagine this, the Florence convention center had about 2000 or so (mostly hard core lefty liberals), and the first thing he does is sing, "Dixie". He did the song really well, you could hear a pin drop while he sang it. Then, he got a huge applause. I have to give this guy credit no matter how he leans day in day out. He made a comment that many would think the song politically uncorrect, but he loved it no matter what.
