Roughly 12% of the population is hispanic & hispanics make up roughly 12% of the prison population in the US. However, I would be willing to wager that 25% of prisoners being illegals is a pretty close figure for the border states.

....kind of a racist answer. My concern is not skin color. My concern is WHY I have to pay to incarcerate losers from other countries. We in the US have our own fair share of criminals to deal with. Why import more?

My concern is really more monetary based. I'd be happy to house any and all illegals in our prison system, as long as we can make a profit off of it by sending the bill to the country of origin for the perps.
Taxpayers should NOT have to foot the bill.
Perhaps that would be a fantastic growth industry....we can house all of Chinas' prisioners....or Russias'....why limit ourselves to mere "illegals"?
