I have found several of my old favorites on eBay. They still smell the same. My daughter bought some Guess on eBay and was really happy with it. I don't believe they were knock-offs. Or were really good ones if that was the case.

My first real boyfriend wore Brut. Still brings back wonderful memories.

Second boyfriend wore Halston Z-14, another memorable scent.

They bought Heaven Sent then reformulated it. They ruined it.

I always wanted to try to find a bottle of my favorite shampoo from many years ago, because it smelled so darn good. Don't laugh, but it was Farrah Fawcett shampoo. Does anybody remember that? It smelled so fresh and flowery.

Did it work?

Let's see, my first strapless gown (well, not exactly, it had little straps), my first upswept hairdo, my first corsage, my childhood sweetheart pulling up in his dad's car to pick me up. :o) Ah, the memories.

You might check out a web site called longlostperfumes.com
A perfumer has collected recipies for old favorites that have been discontinued. My favorite is Woodhue which has been discontinued but I can an exact duplicate from that website.

I do remember, my daughter liked Farah Fawcett shampoo too. I am constantly amazed at what I find on eBay. Wouldn't hurt to try.

If you look you can still find "Bay Rum" made by several different manufacturers. Far superior to English Leather.

Good heavens, forgot about Woodhue! Wasn't that in a glass bottle with a wooden stopper? (Apparently looking at the original article, it doesn't matter that people stop buying these perfumes, the factories that make them MUST stay open - I get so tired of these "factories closing" threads )
