Fine. Let it die. You all have been threatening it for years. Frankly, I'm sick of you all blackmailing us.

DUH, you da GOP? You are the one who will be on the short side of this one, either way, based on your views. We win in one way, at least

Frankly, I'm sick of you all blackmailing us.

It isn't blackmail. It is reality.

Pro-life voters will not abandon a corrupt party out of spite or revenge. Morally, I can't cast a vote for a person who will support abortion in any way. Nor can I be a member of a political party who does so.

You just don't get it. It isn't about us being "one issue voters" or some euphemistic term like that. Abortion is not just an "issue". We're talking about the slaughter of millions of children not just the reform of some economic program or a new set of regulations. This is why you find that we can't negotiate on this or compromise. There is no compromise on this - the slaughter must be stopped.

We're not extremists. The extremists are those who support or who can sit idly by while millions of children are exterminated through this barbaric slaughter.

This is the elephant in the living room of the United States. We have mostly clean sidewalks, mostly safe schools, mostly healthy citizens, mostly peaceful elections, etc. On the surface, the U.S. is a pretty cool place. But, within the walls of the abortuaries a bloody slaughter is taking place and millions of children are being murdered. It's all buttoned up and "clean". All kinds of euphemisms are invented to make it sound like something benign or even beneficial. If you're for allowing a woman to pay a serial killer to kill her child, then you're not a monster - no, you're "pro-choice". If your party supports these barbaric serial killers politically and the serial killers donate their blood money to the party, then the party "supports a woman's right to choose."

It is all so ugly. Kind of like the ugliness you've demonstrated all day on this thread. I've never seen you more bitter than I have seen you in this thread today. Rationalizing evil tends to do that to a person.

I don't like HOW CPforLife said what he said. But there is truth to what he said whether you like it or not. People who actually believe in the culture of life and who don't just pay lip service to it will be disenfranchised if Bush doesn't follow through which his pro-life rhetoric. They will stay home out of frustration, not spite or revenge. They won't be angry and spiteful about it, just saddened that their are no candidates or even a party left that believes that the ongoing slaughter of innocents is wrong. Who do they have left to vote for and why?

Honestly, I want an answer from you, what SPECIFICALLY do you think President Bush and the GOP Platform means when they speak of a "culture of life"? What do you think that means legislatively in the Congress and administratively in the Executive Branch? Or was it just lip service to stroke the pro-life voters?
