We need to break the generational curse. Our generation (I'm whistling too brother) needs to fade away and the next couple generations need to continue to remind people that ... they aren't just flushing the goldfish down the toilet or drowning puppies down at the Humane Society. The death culture's time has come and America must breathe and cleanse itself of this Holocaust of Cowardice...

Senator Specter is a pro-abortion, defend the Roe fiat ruling made by an activist social engineering subpreme court, and he is four square in favor of conceiving embryos and clones and growing them to fetal tissue age in order to kill them for their body parts. I'd say Specter is not a Republican in the mold of what we voted for this time. I'd say allowing such an un-Republican Senator to chair a major committee at the very start of a Republican tidal wave is a foolish error. I'd also say that it is not an innocent error ... if Specter is allowed to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Party is at fault knowingly and THEY will be due a sever spanking. Let's hope Constitutional candidates arise following such an error so that we will have a reason to go to the polls in 2006 and 2008.

A case in point would be Senator Frist. He defended embryo stem cell harvesting when the issue arose. He did fall in line and support the President when Bush allowed federal money to be spent ONLY on the stem cell lines that existed at the time of his ruling, with No monies to be spent on cell lines that would be generated after the ruling (like using cadaver tissue rather than killing alive people to establish tissue lines).

I have mixed feelings about Frist because of his defense for open season on alive embryos and his tacit support for 'limited cloning'. Yet I can give him marks for supporting the President's path, a path that Frist didn't anticipate and wasn't made privy to at the time. The same may not be said for Specter. He is too dangerous to allow him ANY POWER in the Committee.

Lest we forget, there are issue of tort reform (Specter is a great friend of trial lawyers), circuit court nominees, and bans on things like embryo exploitation and cloning that will arise during a Specter tenure as Committee Chairman. I don't want a rino like Specter having so much power to bend the Republican agenda to his liberal gutter.
