If the USSC strikes down Roe, which I doubt will ever happen, the states will simply pick up their responsibilities.
Abortion is never going to be outlawed in this country again, no matter how much we might want it to be.

"Abortion is never going to be outlawed in this country again, no matter how much we might want it to be." You do realize that abortion of one form or another has been legal throughout our nations history, don't you? I'd be ecstatic if we could get to where there were abortions only for pregnancies younger than twenty weeks and only for Life of the mother, rape and incest, though I cannot support why a child alive in a womb ought to be held capitally responsible for the heinous crime by his or her father ... among other anomolies. IF our nation could go that far to reduce abortions, technology and education would kick in to allow even a rape victim to life support the little one until he or she would be able to live outside the womb with public life support.

(If you can read this, you've had life support from someone. Promote life support for others.)

Substitute "Slavery" for "Abortion": "____________"is never going to be outlawed in this country again, no matter how much we might want it to be.
Roe could be overturned if the Supreme Court rules, or a Constitutional Amendment is passed, to the effect that all human beings are persons and have the right to life.
The partial-birth abortion case will provide an opportunity to review Roe. We will have ultrasound and the evidence from 30 years of in vitro fertilization, possibly a few cloned children, to prove to the Justices when life begins. Roe is as faulty as the Dred Scot decision: based solely on personal prejudice. It cannot stand up to a fair examination of scientific fact.
