There was a time when men like Arlen had the upper hand.
They saw to it that opposition views were strictly banned.
But times they are a-changing, and the wind has shifted course.
So if you plan on betting, try to find a better horse.
Sir Specter has a hist'ry that goes back to JFK.
When he claimed there was one bullet, so that he could pave the way
for a cover-up that reached beyond the shores of this fair land,
and into dark and smoky rooms where liberty is banned.
The cover-up succeeded, and Sir Specter felt his oats.
He campaigned to be a senator, and got sufficient votes.
He claimed to be a pubbie, but his claim was full of holes.
As was evidenced by rhetoric, and ugly leftist goals.
Judge Bork, his greatest victim, was defeated at the gate,
for loyalty to documents that made this country great.
But Specter deemed that loyalty a danger to the system:
'We cannot tolerate a man of character and wisdom!'
He also borked a man named Sessions - deemed unfit as well.
But Sessions then moved through the ranks, and so he lived to tell
that senate aspirations proved him worthy in his state,
and now he sits in congress - there's a justice found in fate.
Now he sits right there with Specter on a singular committee
that helps decide on judgeships - and he will not waste his pity
on the man who sought to keep him from a judgeship of his own,
even as his former adversary seeks to change his tone.
That tone's been ringing through the years. It reared its ugly head
when Clinton was impeached, and when the senate roll was read.
Sir Specter invoked Scottish Law and saved the traitor's term.
'Unproven!' was his rally cry, and Scottish law stood firm.
It seems that Scottish Law is held in even more esteem
than Constitution dictates, by this man who's on the team
of those who think that global law is now the way to go --
But Scottish Law has had its day
it's time for quid pro quo.
For Specter doesn't know that there's a force throughout the land
that sees him now for who he is, and seeks to force his hand
to call him on the lies he's told, the men he's sought to scuttle
from taking their anointed place, without a fair rebuttal.
Rebuttal's turned to just desserts. We will not see him sit
as chair of a committee whose philosophy won't fit
within his leftist framework, so it's time for us to say,
'We're wise to you, Sir Arlen! You've been borked
now go away!'
