What a beautiful -- and patriotic -- pup. Yep, my screen name is part of the registered name of one of my last two German Wirehaired Pointers. He lived to over 14 years and died this last Feb. I still have his litter sister, who turned 15 last Tuesday, Nov. 9. I've never had a dog this old before. Puppies, of course, are wonderful. But having one this age also has it's quiet pleasures.

As friends, pets improve with age, don't they? Didn't have a dog that lived that old, but did have a cat that made it to 22.
