two questions..from one who really hasn't followed the case very closely..

1. Was Scott ever offered a plea deal before the trial?

2. Imagine if, when she testifies during the penalty phase, Lacey's mom asks the jury NOT to kill Scott..rather let him spend the rest of his life behind bars, because, she'll say, "I know Scott very well, and believe me, that would be a WORSE punishment for him.."

During dinner we listened to Joe Taccopino (sp?) go on at length about MG not being present during the verdict and the consensus was that it's simply inexcusable and there is no conceivable reason for his not being there. Joe said if his explanation is due to his involvement in the other case, it does not compare in severity and his place was beside his client as the verdict was read. I hope MG's days are numbered.
