I think Robert Byrd will stay in the Senate until he dies. His entire identity is wrapped up in being a Senator.
It used to be wrapped in white bed sheets and matching hood.
I'm just wondering - what can those of us in states having no senate elections in 2006 (eg Colorado) do to help the rest of you out?
Byrd is only wrapped up in the senate when not wrapped up in his white sheets.....
Being from WV, I'm pretty sure Byrd said in 2000 that that would be his last run, but then again, he could change his mind.
