Source: Peterson jury foreman wanted to be taken off panel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Court TV) — The foreman dismissed from the jury deliberating murder charges against Scott Peterson Wednesday asked to be removed from the panel, a source close to the case told Court TV anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.
"This juror wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom reported Thursday.
The panelist, identified as Gregory Jackson, 46, quit the jury after his fellow jurors said they wanted another panelist to lead them, the source told Guilfoyle Newsom.
"He was removed as the foreperson and then decided he wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom said.

The courthouse was closed Thursday because of the Veteran's Day holiday and jurors remained in sequestration at their hotel. The panel is not permitted to discuss the case except in the jury room........

I think it was just Laura Engles (sp?) blowing smoke. They have to say SOMETHING. That, and they need to build up the suspense and keep the listeners hooked.

you know what pinz, I'm at work and I'm having a hard time concentrating. Also I have to keep sneaking onto this site. But, if it was 11-1 for Guilty and #6 has been investigated and questioned, he just might be afraid to vote NG. I doubt #8, the teamster would EVER vote not guilty. I still have butterflies tho. Maybe they arrived at a compromise. IF so, don't care. BRB

I'll go along with that!! GAWD I wish I was home today. Only 20 minutes till verdict time. Actually, I prayed about this last night and this morning. It has weighed heavily on me. I will NEVER forget the feeling I had when the Simpson verdict was announced. Surely another CA jury would NOT want to be the brunt of the hatred that was against that bozo jury.

No Mark Geragos sightings; he's still in LA. FOX news Shep Smith opining if Geragos not there, doesn't bode well for Scott. Geragos certainly would not miss walking out to press with an innocent Scott was combined thoughts of talking heads.
They all know the Peterson's lied to their faces. They all sat there and saw Sharon day after day. They saw Scott's disgusting behavior.
They either were all 1st degree before the first polling they did, or they compromised at 2nd degree 2 minutes after that polling and want to be home for Thanksgiving.
If #5II was a lone hold-out for NG, I would think an Appeals court would have to take a close look at the revolving door of the jury. But that will be a different battle for a different day.

Peterson was also a suspect in a previous murder investigation. This was reported early on when Peterson was first arrested. Does anyone remember who the victim was in that case and the circumstances??
