And the whole story is not only bizarre, but horrific.
You're right. A very bizarre case. Horrific? Having twins is horrific? I admire this great grandmother tremendously. She sure didn't expect to get pregnant and went against the others suggestions of aborting God's children. Should every woman that has had her tubes tied refrain from sex until she's no longer fertile, just in case? (Side note...I am not for getting your tubes tied...not always a healthy choice!) Who else am I supposed to "pin" this on? God created these tiny unborn babies. Is the mother going to have a difficult time raising them? Possibly. Does God give us more than we can handle? No. They will certainly lead a slightly different life than "normal" but who decides what is normal? My mom has mellowed with age and would still make a wonderful mom if God hadn't already taken care of that possibility. My grandmother helped raise my cousins because my aunt is a little on the not-so-intelligent side. My cousins are both happily married and have kids of their own. It's really not the worst thing ever in the world. Sheesh!
Horrific? What a bizarre take on the story. The babies, these two individual humans, are blessings.
Your horror is the most horrifying thing I've read.
And pinnig new life on God is not a bad thing. It recognizes His authority over us all, and our responsibility to Him through thankfulness and caring for the little ones.
