Ouch. That one had to hurt lol. Poor Tuffy. I'm still dropping and rolling so I think I'll stay out of this one:')

The only thing I have no respect for are freepers who viciously attack other freepers instead of having an adult debate. Grow up a little then talk to me.

>>>Actually, people who think as you do have something hide. You should hide the fact that you have absolutely no respect for the First and Fourth Amendments to the Constitution....

This has NOTHING to do with the First Amendment. The only way that this would be a Fourth Amendment issue would be in the case of a random government check or if the government required your dealer to report the readouts from the black box to the government each time you went in for a tune-up. And then there would have to be a prosecution that arises out of that data.

So how do you feel about government regulation of who can sit in the cockpit of the plane that you just boarded? I certainly think that I should be free to rent a plane and fly it if I want. Or more to this point, how do you feel about these same black boxes in airplanes?

Freedom is not the ability to do whatever you want with impunity.

I wasn't vicious. Vicious is the steady stripping of our freedoms while too many people have no problem with it because they "have nothing to hide."
So, I saw your "I'm superior" response to another poster as vicious, and uninformed, and dangerous to our country.

Turning the tables, eh? Using my argument of "vicious" turned back on me is typical of a verbal abuser. Accusing me of being "dangerous" is another form of verbal abuse, since you are basing your opinion solely on the fact that I said I had nothing to hide.

You should search your soul and try to figure out why you have so much hate living in there.

By the way, why don't you address Rinkrats posts instead of just attacking me? He sounds stronger than I do, doesn't he? Abusers only attack the people that they perceive as weak and Ringrat sounds rather strong, doesn't he (or she)?

"You should search your soul and try to figure out why you have so much hate living in there."

OK, did it. I hate, um, I hate, um, I hate invasions of privacy and those who advocate them.

I saw this coming decades ago.

My rule is to own NO car made since 1974 if I can help it!

No computers in any of my cars, for any reason.

Truthfully, there are NO new cars sold today that I would want.
You have a choice of flimsy plastic shrouded appliances, or incredibly overpriced limited editions that cannot be driven without being a cop magnet.

And now this?

I will stick with my dinosaurs!

And just HOW the H**L do we square THIS trashing of our right to privacy with a "republican administration" and "limited government"?

No wonder so many people see no genuine difference in the two parties, both continue to use bureaucracy to seize ever more of the citizens rights and freedom.

The real problem with this site is that it provides an endless list of irritants, forcing me to choose which issues to ignore as I really cannot contact my congressmen everyday without appearing to be a nut!

Would it matter if it was a 4th amendment issue, anyway? Nobody much seems to have cared when the gov't decided what substances we could or couldn't ingest, and then largely suspended 4th amendment protections in the name of the war on drugs. Most people don't seem to value their rights all that highly - at least not until they end up on the wrong end of government's actions.

America is changing, Israel is far more free now. You know I can smoke a cigarette if I want, when and where I want? I can buy a lighter without a child safety lock and a booklet to tell me not to light myself on fire because it will burn...

And if I step into a hole in the sidewalk, I can't sue all the homeowners on the street for their houses because I am stupid.

Come on over and visit sometime! Ya-All might like it.

Afraid of Sheeple like YOU!

Your willingness to bend over for the Gov. Org., no matter how unreasonable their demands, or flimsy their pretext, makes my skin crawl.

I had a federal government employee tell me that. Even you don't buy onstar when you get a new GM car...It is there. And they can still activate it at will.

Yep that's so.

Just had some work done on my car. The guy at the counter was telling me about this new obd III. He says that any emissions problems...speeding...or whatever can be remembered by the computer and that this new system will phone in via satellite at periodic intervals and rat you out. What a world we are living in.
