Gosh, you reckon that committing one crime (illegal entry in the usa) makes them less likely to committ another? Dunno about Texas, but here in Gwinnett county GA on those rare occasions when the police get tired of running speed traps, get off their swaggering donut sucking a$$es, and actually arrest criminals, and those even rarer occiasions when the media is forced to acknowledge the race/origin of the criminals, Hispanic criminals are overwhelmingly in this country illegally. Of course, this simply may represent the same proportion of all hispanics who are in the country illegally here.
For a while this county had the honor of leading the country in home invasion robberies (Hispanic gang - arrested due to outstanding police work - that is to say a neighbor saw what was going on and phoned them. of course they got there late, but did manage to track down the criminals) 7 out of 8 arrested were illegal. The police in Gainsville managed to arrest 12 Hispanic gang bangers in Gainsville again all but one in the country illegally. But, like I said, this may reflect the unknown that somewhere between 7/8ths and 11/12ths of the hispanics in Gwinnett county are in the US illegally. wouldn't surprise me considering Bush's take on immigration.
