VETERANS DAY PRAYER
Father God, We ask You to hold our
troops in Your loving hands.
Fill their lonely hours with blessed assurance
and protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families in this time of selflessness.
Move we pray by Your mighty power in victory
to bring them each one safely home.
Amen

I think of many on this day, but especially my father who flew B-29's over Japan during WW2.(he died in 1981...)

He talks about finding a toad in his sandwich, while flying over the Pacific late one night.

That still brings a chuckle to members of my family!
