Helen will survive. How is Helen worse off from a Helen living with a single divorced or never married mom, or a divorced dad?
Presumably, the single parent is still living within the bounds of the natural law. The gay parents are living outside of the natural law. Helen will grow up thinking disordered = ordered.
She will have all the pain of a girl who grows up without a mother, and then some.
