NEW YORK -- Houston Astros great, and former Texas Longhorn, Roger Clemens easily won his record seventh Cy Young Award on Tuesday
The pitcher dubbed the "Rocket" received 23 of 32 first-place votes and 140 points in balloting released by the Baseball Writers Association of America.
Clemens won the National League Cy Young for the first time -- after capturing six Cy Youngs in the American League.
Arizona's Randy Johnson finished second. Houston's Roy Oswalt was third.
Clemens, 42, is the oldest Cy Young winner. Gaylord Perry was 40 when he won the NL honor in 1978.

That is terrible to win the CY with only 18 wins. RJ did the Rocket one better by winning the CYA in '99 with only 17 wins :)
