Whoa....this is going to cause a stir! Good thing I got my computer (read "pinger") fixed!
Get used to it.
The left will come out of the woodwork.
And ZERO in on Viet Nam Vets.
I did see a demonstration on Boston Common but they were weirdo hippies against the war itself.
This is a total load of crap, don't you think?
Not a Vietnam Vet, but I did get spit on and labelled a killer of babies, amongst other things, while wearing the uniform in the early-mid seventies. No myth, all fact. Every Vietnam Vet I've ever served with has a story similar or worse. This was a universally accepted practice by the general population of youth and young "adults" at the time. Another sorry attempt to revise history to meet a leftist agenda.
I noticed you'd been absent. Good to see you back.
As far as the "myth" crap, what of the guy who was attacked at the Toby Keith concert about a month ago?
I have been watching this thread all night. The stories and personal accounts are heartbreaking. Is this person going to call all of these posters liars?
Thanks for the ping, welcome back, bump to read another page of this thread later.
Thanks for the ping!
My brother is a Vietnam Vet
My fury about this "study" immeasurable
This is just one more avenue the libs are using to explain why they lost the election.
It can't be that they're out of step with America!
It HAS to be that America is out of step with THEM!
It is not a Myth! I was spit on in July 1974 as new paratrooper in the Atlanta Airport and called a baby killer by three teenagers (like myself). I immediately dropped my duffle bag and did the "Pitch Fork" lift shaking it and telling them that this was what it looked like when you got a live one. This was after they spit and started blocking my path. Needless to say, they were horrified and bolted away quickly.
I googled this f@rt, and it seems others have also.
Found this interesting article Swimming Uphill: A Decade in Politics and Government. Looks like this jerk couldn't even make it in politics so he's been hiding in acadame for the past few decades. Politics, hell! If you read this whiny collection of sentences and paragraphs, you'll see why he now analyses "coach speak."
Also, if you google him you'll see his other forte is to go on radio programs to analyze how coaches speak, both pre-game and post-game. Sez he's spent the last 20 years studying this. WATTA GUY!
His picture looks like a rather cleaned up Michael Moore with blond/grey hair. I don't know whose butt he had to kiss to be considered an "expert witness" but the fool has no idea what he is talking about regarding the current subject.
I wish I could say what I really wanted to say -- my wife even told me to shut up. So I'll leave it with:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY USMC -- Best wises and prayers to all our Vets, POW/MIA'S, and warriors in harm's way, this Veterans Day -- and God Bless you all!
BTTT!!!!!!!
Semper Fi
MistyCA, Thanks for the ping from your newly-fixed pinger, even if it was an article from another snarky leftist moonbat liar trying to re-write history.
Happy Birthday to all you vets! We are so thankful for you and so very proud of you. This day is in YOUR honor.
I was treated pretty well on My return in January of 1969. Two things: Most of my flying was done late at night on the cheapest standby flights. The airports were nearly deserted. Also, LBJ was still president. Wars in general are bad only when Republicans are running them.
My brother (Navy) and one other young man were hit by a milkshake thrown by one of those '60s commie rats. Unfortunately, many of those same rats have bathed, run for public office and been elected. They need to go!
Thanks for the ping.
I think a lot this anger might be relieved if we hang John Kerry in effigy. There must be a town named Effigy around here somewhere. Or we could rename one for the event.
Ah, yes. Bring back the old days.....
Thanks for this ping, Misty.
This so-called 'educater' shows us once again the absolute stupidity of these people.
It makes my blood boil to hear/read this stuff!
The only thing I want to hear from them is apologies for their behavior against our Vets.
This is a patriotic love I feel for all the VN Vets...I had no loved ones in the service until 1973, when my oldest son voluteered for the peacetime Navy.
He was 17 years old, and the Navy made a wonderful man out of him.
