Three things need to happen that will help to control America's illegal immigration problem. First, the feds have to make an honest effort at sealing the borders shut, once and for all. NO policy agenda to control and reduce illegal immigrants in the US will ever work, unless the borders are slammed shut. Waste of time. Second. There must be full enforcement of existing laws that punish employers for hiring illegals. And finally, the feds must end any and all government welfare funding to illegals that live in the US.

The President's trial balloon proposal of last year, didn't address any of the real problems facing the US. We still have open borders that equate to a situation of unlimited illegal immigration and employers that want cheap labor. Poor policy will only exacerbate the overall problem.
