This trial will end with a hung jury. I don't think there is any question.
When it does, then the DA is going to have to decide whether to try it again. That's not going to be an easy decision, given the cost of this overlong and badly-run trial.

One thing to be thankful for: at least if this murderer walks, it won't become a racial issue.
