I'd rather have Rudi Guliani as Chief Justice. He's a real leader as well as a better attorney. But both Ashcroft and Guliani have the No. 1 qualification - no prior federal judicial experience. I distrust the whole federal bench. We need some real people with proven real world ability there. The Supremes in particular have lost it - they have problems figuring out the real world effects of their decisions even in technical legal matters.
Rudi is too pro-choice. We simply have to get enough people on the court to get abortion back to the states where it belongs.
