When my daughter was a freshman at Texas Tech.We had to move to LA for business reasons from Dallas...We brought her out that summer..had her tour UCLA and wanted her to explore other California possibilities..as we were so far away..
She visited around and turned up her nose..Lubbock was her choice and that ended that..We went home in a year so it all worked out..but the beach didn't beat out West Texas..It's a state of mind...and the people. She married a wonderful West Texan..lucky me!
