You’ve probably heard of the Democratic Underground , the ultimate liberal cocoon, where Democrats let their darkest, ugliest feelings out into the open. Well, it turns out that Elizabeth Edwards may be an ardent DUer! Here’s a message posted by someone who purports to be her (it seems quite credible):
You know that I read DU and have for quite some time, long before any of you knew my name. I really appreciate the support you have given me on this latest hurdle and before. It means a lot to me and to John.
Now that I have more time, I will post some, too. But today I want to share something inspiring, part of a letter from Thomas Jefferson. This is from the new Bernstein biography of Jefferson. Jefferson sent the letter in 1798 after the passage of the Sedition Act:
“A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt. If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake.”
“Reign of witches??” Is this how the wannabe second-lady sees the majority of Americans?
This is far worse than, say, Lynne Cheney posting at Free Republic and decrying Kedwards as commies. The people at DU are the most rabid ultra-lefties and routinely say things about Republicans that, if any politician said it, would end his career.
“Elizabeth Edwards” even proves to the nutty DUers that it’s really her .
Edwards mentioned on C-Span that she frequents DU. Perhaps her struggle with cancer is affecting her mental state.
Did Barbra and Elizabeth have a discussion prior to each of them putting out this quote?

What's sad is that Keith Olbermann has become their God with his voter fraud story. They are delusional over there - it's sad really.
It's hard to take anyone seriously who blots out the sun.
Of course, I have to admit. I frequent DU as well. It's like watching a slow motion train wreck. I'm convinced that 90% of their traffic is lurking Freepers.
Other thing I noticed...no potty mouths on the sugary Liz threads...du(h)'s kiss her bum big time.
I've never seen a longer kool-aid line than I have at DU.
Those people need professional help - seriously.
The filth over there is just simply disgusting. Those are the most foul mouthed people I have ever seen. They have no shame in posting their rants.
I truly hope they keep it up and also hope that many people see that rats nest.

Somehow I find it funny that Barbara Streisand and Mrs. Edwards are posting about other peopple being witches. All that's missing here is Hillary Clinton and Maureen Dowd doing the same thing to make for a major laughfest.
I wonder if any Dimocrat posting the "witches" quote has actually read the passage of Jefferson that it comes from, which is anti-Semitic.
How did Jefferson know about Hillary?
Baba Streisand is also mentioning witches on her site now. At least Edwards and Streisand have intimate knowledge on the subject.
First, who the hell cares about Elizabeth Edwards??? I certainly don't. Especially after her diatribe about Whoppi Goldberg being the "Heart and Soul" of America.
I wonder if Elizabeth realizes that the campaign was LOST after her "team" embrace of Whoppi??
Next, the "Jefferson letter" she quotes is exactly the same letter posted on the Babs Streisand website. Is this the new democRat talking point??
I don't wish Elizabeth ill. I don't wish her well, either. I just wish she weould go quietly into the night like the other democRat losers.
