Things that make you go hmmmmmm
No, there never was going to be any doubt about Cuyahoga County. It was going to Kerry no matter whether fraud occurs or not. But, the vote margin is what is in question.
perhaps they explain it by saying that all those extra votes were from people voting in precincts other than where they were supposed to be (they were 'all sleeping at Grandma's house') and they didn't want them to be 'disenfranchised' by making them take a provisional ballot, so they let them slip by.......
Your wife's page has a link to Candy's page:

When I clicked on it, it tried to put a server program on my puter.
We have four years. We have the majority in the House and Senate. Why can we not get a national election registration? I am sure this is a problem in every state that they can get away with it. We have to do something!
"I am sure this is a problem in every state that they can get away with it."
I agree wholeheartedly. And as I've said in so many other threads and posts, every time we don't call them on this stuff, it emboldens them to do it more, and worse, the next time. The rats are just like Bin Laden. When we didn't respond to his initial 10 attacks, he became more and more bold until 9/11 took place. Once we started whacking Al Qaeda, they faded signficantly. We need to whack the Dems.
If Detroit voted 93% for Kerry, there isn't much more room for credible votes without exceeding the registered vote count by extreme amounts. That would raise too many questions.

They thought they had it in the bag, like FL in 2000 but somehow there cheating didn't work. In 2000 it was due to stupid and illiterate cheaters, in 2004 we expected it and the right wing vote overwhelmed the cheaters, they did not expect the turnout.
I would say that at least 10% 0f sKerry's votes should be tossed.
Real election reform should be something we start doing, I completely agree.
I'm sorry, I'm new as a poster, but before everyone gets all worked up over this, look at what's at the top of the county webpage:
Explanation of Ballots Cast Totals on this page and the Summary Report
In even-numbered years, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections tallies absentee ballots by Congressional, House, and Senate district combinations. Because of this, the ballots cast totals for municipalities on this web page and on the summary report needs to be derived by using the following technique: For municipalities with wards, find the ballots cast total for each ward and total them. For municipalities without wards, please refer to the contest of interest on the canvass report. Absentee ballots cast totals appear separately at the end of each contest on the canvass report. If you have any questions, please contact the Board of Elections Ballot Department Manager at (216) 443-6454.
This seems to be exactly the pattern on the discrepancies. The highest level of aggregation apparently is susceptible to being overcounted for the reasons stated on the county's webpage. I can't guarantee that this is the case, but the pattern looks awfully regular to me and seems to match the explanation above.
ACK! I'll remove it and mention it to her.
Thanks.
Thanks, I'm more comfortable thinking there is a logical reason for this.

I agree. This may be one place we can agree with the dems. They froth that we've stolen the election, we fire back that the heavily dem districts have too many votes....
We really ought to be able to come up with some way to coordinate things and make sure that each legally registered voter gets 1 vote and cant double up from precinct to precinct or state to state.
We can send a man to the moon, we have incredible computing power, but we can't get voter registation roles and voting squared away?
I think this should be reported to Ms. Randi Rhodes using votingrights@airamerica.com. After all, she wants to know about all the corruption that caused Ohio to go for Bush. Anyone out there from Ohio who can provide input to her?
DEMOCs stuffed the ballot boxes and still couldn't win in the end.
I don't think Susan Estrich has any memory of election night! (was she hammered or what!!?? I swear she almost vomited three times when speaking to Brit Hume!!)
