Chirac Throws His Support Behind Suha Arafat (Another Installment of 'As Arafat's Body Turns')
DebkFile Global Security Newsletter ^ | 11/9/04 | Diane Shalem -Editor

After consultation with his Middle East advisors, French President Jacque Chiraq has decided to back Suha Arafat all the way--and at the same time reach out to the radical rejectionist wing of the Palenstinian camp--PLO Politburo chief Farouk Kaddumi, Arafat's close confidant Hanni al Hassan, senior terrorist chief Col. Feisal Abu Srakh, as well as Mohammad Jihad, an important Jordanian general.

Former and present Palenstinian Prime Ministers Abu Ala and Abu Mazen have been deeply shamed by the hysterical pre dawn antics of Arafat's wife Suha on Al Jazzera Arabic TV.

Swallowing their chagrin, Abu Ala and Abu Mazen flew to the French capital to sort out the imbriglio.

It was clear for all to see that Arafat could not be maintained on life support systems beyond a couple of days, and that his body must be moved and a funeral arranged to salvage the last shreds of the Palestinian leaders dignity.

To accomplish that, Suha would have to be paid off.

Suha had been preparing to demand their signatures on documents drafter by her French lawyers guaranteeing her a multimillion dollar inheritance and pension--the price for switching off life support systems.

The two Palestinian officials were humiliated when they arrived at the hospital gates and were told by French medical spokesman Christian Estripeau, 'Mr. Arafats condition forces us to limit visitors.'

Mrs. Arafat still holds the key to access to Arafat-on her terms. (for now) With the French President behind her, those terms can only become stiffer.

And by grinding down Abu Ala and Abu Mazen, she is doing her part in enhancing the standing of Arafat's radical rivals.

Le Monde compared Suha to Imelda Marcos for their high living and shopping. But they noted Imelda at least stood by her man til his end. Suha fled four years ago.

Chirac is playing John Kerry

BTW, where is Kerry? I feel I know more about how Arafat is doing than Kerry.

Well, I'm hopeful the golddigger will get the billions and squander it all over the world like a drunken sailor. Better that than the terrorists getting their murderous hands on it.

I'm just hoping this is the beginning of a massive blood-letting among the terrorist leadership.

It's better that Suha get them... At least it will be spent in France, not to buy weapons against Israel...

See #52. With the way that Swiss banking works (or is supposed to work), if Suha doesn't get it, nobody does.
