I'm a first time poster here from one of the most liberal communities in California. I wanted to thank you all for perhaps unknowingly keeping at least this conservative from insanity over the last year or so and to remind you that even in the blue counties in the blue states, at least 25% of us are celebrating the re-ascention of Bush to the White House.
I've been the target of so much hate in my own community that I turned to reading your supportive site in lieu of my own local forum. I know these radical liberals that are now degrading those who live between the coasts and believe me, they are NOT what they profess to be. They are the most intolerant, bigoted, self-centered and self-righteous people in America. I know, because I live with them.
I'm a red county in a blue state...hahahahaa.....
Im from Monmouth County NJ.. We voted Bush 55-44 i believe! It went for Gore last time around too... Monmouth County I believe was the hardest hit lives wise from 9/11 (Begala that idiot on Crossfire was saying that hte places directly affected by 9/11 all voted Kerry.. WRONG i emailed the show about this too) I'm from Middletown which I hear was the most affected town too, theres a book about Middletown too which details this.
There are many of us over here who live in NJ or NY or who go to NYU (heh) and we continue the fight daily...Anyway -- keep up hope even in the worst of times... And always stay loyal to the party...
hmmm... just a guess... Santa Barbara?
I got a e-mail from the Pennsylvania Democratic party that made me laugh for two reasons. One, it claims Pennsylvania is a "Democratic state." Funny, when I look at the county-by-county map, it looks like a Republican state. Secondly, the 'Rat masthead has Jean Milko's name on it. I know for a FACT that one year while she was Allegheny County Jury Commissioner, she worked a grand total of twenty-one days.
Party of the working man, my a**.
You may be right. That and marijuana cultivation.
Welcome from a New York City Red, residing in a 74% Blue-occupied county.
Me, too.
