Speaking of shrieking and screeching, have you ever seen so many people literally crying over the results of the election? It’s almost like someone promised them a lollypop and took it back. I feel like bringing a box of tissues anywhere I go and there are progressives likely to feel emboldened by their numbers to speak out and express relief they live in a blue state.

I just finished reading a few stories from the French press. I found this nugget at Le Monde, their New York Times:
On Monday, secretary general of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, asked Europeans not to unite against the Americans and exacerbate the old divisions over the Iraq war. On the contrary, he called for a strengthening of the common agreements within the Atlantic alliance.

"Both parties (Europe and the United States) must learn from each other. Europe cannot unite against the United States; such attitude would only contribute to divide Europe within itself", declared Jaap de Hoop Scheffer during a press club meeting at Berlin.

The European dirty secret is out; only leftist Old Europe hates Bush. The New Europe is on our side; that's why NATO's Secretary General said, "Europe cannot unite against the United States; such attitude would only contribute to divide Europe within itself"

American General James Jones, supreme commander of the forces of Nato in Iraq, explained that, at the end of October, "16 or 17 counties" of the 26 Nato members, that is to say the majority of the Nato countries, are already taking part in the coalition under American command in Iraq,

Similarly, countries like France and Germany, which refused to send soldiers directly to Iraq, are ready to contribute its share in Nato’s commitment to train the new Iraqi security forces, as long as such training takes part outside Iraq.

All the whining from Kerry about Europe being against us was wrong. It seems that Kerry meant a few Old Europe countries only.

As if a Bush re-election would lead to nuclear bombs raining down, urine coming out of faucets, and Comedy Central being yanked off of cable.

Hehehehehe! Great article!

Was not.
Also the Alien series should have ended with the second film.
The rest are a waste.

Alien 3 is an undiscovered gem. One of the very best SF films ever. Aliens was a fun comic book, but only 3 matches the quality of the original.

I refuse to acknowledge or use the phrase 'progressive' to refer to Leftist Traitorous Weasels.

Have a nice day!

Here's one I only heard part of.

"I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot.” - Senator John Kerry to a campaign staffer according to Newsweek Assistant Managing Editor Evan Thomas

He wrote Kerry wanted John McCain to be his running mate early on. "To show just how sincere he was, he made an outlandish offer. If McCain said yes he would expand the role of vice president to include secretary of Defense and the overall control of foreign policy.

McCain exclaimed, 'You're out of your mind. I don't even know if it's constitutional, and it certainly wouldn't sell.'“ Kerry was thwarted and furious. "Why the f*ck didn't he take it? After what the Bush people did to him.…'"

Hmmm. Seems to me that’s something the electorate should have known before the rush to embrace Senator John Edwards.

I know this shouldn't turn into a forum on the Alien franchise, but when Ripley cradles the alien that gently pushed out of her stomach as she falls into the molten lead... c'mon, give me a break.
