I've had some curious results (and NON-results) with FR's search engine lately, too.
John Kerry was excommunicated from the Catholic church not log ago and since he has been refused participation in communion in his own parish. Why should we see his emergence on Ash Wednesday with ashes on his forehead as anything other than just another photo op?
