I was really wondering what was going on until I saw King Prout's stand down. I for one find nothing humorous in Clinton, though if he were to get his just deserts I would smile.
That said; it is the Dems who should be looking for a huge olive branch to underscore the extremes they took; ie their lies/smears/forgeries/violence. . .there was no 'low'. . .low enough for these people.
Think they owe their Party at least, an apology. They surely contributed to it's losses.

He could appoint Arlen Specter -- that would solve the problem of him chairing the judiciary committee. :-)

Why were you drunk so early in the morning?
First, the threadline has a false assumption to begin with. A President does not "appoint" people to serve on the USSC, he "nominates" people to serve therein.
Second, incredibly, I would have absolutely NO problem if Bush nominated Clinton. However, Slick doesn't have a hope in Hades of actually being confirmed by the SJC or the full Senate, and probably wouldn't even make it past committee.
Therefore, its a "win-win" for Bush if he does this. He looks like a uniter not a divider in front of the whole world and takes a big bat out of the hands of the libs, and the Judiciary Committee properly flushes the nomination down the crapper where it belongs.
He'd love it. He could hide an intern under the robes.
