That's a weak example. Go to the nearest Neonatal ICU and see them in person. My twins were born at 28 weeks. We know children born as early as 23 1/2 (and he's doing fine, thank you). To us a 30-week baby would have been a relief.
If the public could see how 'viable' such children truly are, their willingness toward abortion would drop significantly.
When I first read you post, I thought you typed "valuable" (no glasses this morning). Then, I correctly saw the word "viable". That sums it up. Valuable and viable. I've always said that you can't have truly experienced a child's love and then support abortion. That's a contradiction formulated in the definition of love - undisputable to me.
I think modern science is the pro abortion movement's biggest enemy. I really think that is the angle to use instead of religion. It's too easy for pro aborts to malign religion. But modern science is hard to get around. jmo
27 weeks here! he's doing GREAT!
These ultrasounds and the ability to preserve fetal life outside the womb at 28 weeks are amazing. Advancements in medical technology are making the pro-choice argument more problematic and less defensible. Being secularists, they should pay attention.
