Speaking as a pro-life southerner, I'd vote for Rudy over just about anyone the DEMs put up. National security and the war on terror will still be key issues. Rudy earned my respect, and if he wants it, my vote.

Taft (OH)

Bob Taft is a tax hiking loser. I didn't vote for him in 2002 and won't vote for him in 2008.

Regarding Taft, and my entire list; these were not endorsements in any way, just some guesses on who may be interested. I believe you regarding Taft, I was just focused on the position he holds, the state/geography he hails from, and his Presidential lineage.

If he's as bad as you say, he may still throw his hat in but be out before Super Tuesday.

As long as the GOP is able to find a suitable candidate to run against HRC-and I don't have any confidence in that Pataki crony "Sandy" Treadwell to follow through on this plan-I'm sure that he'll have enough funding to make it a competitive race.

Realistically, I don't think we have a shot at defeating her, but if we can hold her re-elect numbers to under 50%, it would put the figurative nail in her coffin, as far as higher political ambitions are concerned.

I'm for George Allen too. He was a great governor, and my axiom is that Great Governors Make Great Presidents.
