Ron....you're raging against the machine.....the Dem party machine, that is. It just doesn't work this way. Besides, you can already see by their commentary (aided by their friends in the media), they know it's Hillary's turn.....

America does not need a two party system. What it needs is an open market place for ideas to compete. If you had bothered to study history (which is doubtful from your post), you would know America has seen quite a number of parties rise and fall.

The only option we have with the Democrats (read COMMUNISTS) is to keep fighting them. We must never become complacent. We must never compromise. They are the enemies of America and must be defeated. Again and again and again.

if it weren’t for the war in Iraq and the tremendous collusion on the part of main stream media to destroy George Bush by distortion and outright lies, John Kerry would have had the most humiliating loss in history.

Absolutely right, and I would add that Bush and company didn't really attack Kerry vigorously enough, especially with the "Liberal" paint brush.

They can nominate whomever they wish. I want to head off the damage they can do in the meantime.

Let us take a leaf out of the socialist handbook. In order to save them they must all be sent to "Re-education Centers".

Zell is great, but no moderate or conservative Democrat has a prayer in the party now. They do not agree with him. The elitists and the socialists and the far out nutty left is in the saddle. Let them die.

A new libertarian type party might eventually rise from all this, but right now the Dems are right back to their shrill accusations and silliness. Enabling that bunch of dunderheads would be stupid.

I believe it is not inconceivable that the Democratic Party may very split into two parties, the next few years could be very interesting. I'll just sit back with the popcorn and watch.

Agreed. If one party is already correct in most of their ideals, there is no need for debate. What we should be doing is making sure that the conservative party continues to solidfy itself, not waste time on a list liberal cause...only for the purpose of debate.

Well Ron, I'm a big believer in the old cliche, you can't help those who won't help themselves. The party of denial is definitely not helping itself. I can't say I'm terribly disappointed by that.

Actually, I did address that and clipped it so as not to muddy the waters. We need a multiple party system - to prevent the dictatorship of a single party. How's that.

Zell is old and Zell is shrill. He wants to retire. Let him. He's served his country well. He is notg someone I would rally 'round.

I think Zell may have a place whatever falls out from the DNC's current debacle. He will be in position to pull the party back together with more "hometown" positions. It will be interesting to see if the the DEM elitists are willing to acquiesce any control at all.

You are exactly right in that we need two viable political parties to continue the American experiment.

My guess is the bottom has not been reached with the DNC as yet. I heard today that Harold Ickes may become the next chair. If that happens it will be more of the same from another Clintonite.

Not even the DLC would support Zell now.

The real trouble with the Democrats is that they expect everyone else to compromise their core values. They do not understand that great people and great nations never compromise their core values.
