In that news clip you see every 15 minutes on tv, where Arafat is being carried off the aircraft, he seems to be wearing latex gloves. Maybe to hide lesions?
I noticed the white gloves when he was first barricaded into his headquarters. I remember some of those news reports showing him and some other people sitting around a table supposedly having talks and his hands were glaringly white. Much whiter than anything else in the pictures.
