This is just the kind of issue that may end up being yet another demonstration of Arab public opinion's extraordinary ability to simultaneously voice contradictory beliefs--namely, that 1) it is utterly impossible for Arafat to have AIDS, and 2) the Jews did it to him. A prime example of this is 9/11, where it was being claimed that 1) nobody was on the planes, the Mossad and CIA did the whole thing by remote control, there is no way that Muslims would or could do such an act, and 2) Bin Laden is a hero for pulling it off.
Being able to "simultaneously voice contradictory beliefs" is held by all extremists groups... take the Democratic party for example...
