As an American raised in what can be termed Puritan or Protestant culture when I traveled around the world for the first time - the need for people (men and women) to kiss me hello was a little unerving since I did not even grow up to kiss my parents on the cheek with a hello. I can kind of tell who has spent time abroad and who has not when I see American reactions to being kissed hello.

Oh here we go again with putting down those who haven't traveled the globe hence we're too ignorant to fall in line. Honey if I traveled the universe I still wouldn't like strangers invading my face space. It's just MY personal preference. Prude? And proud of it. Don't like it, tough, it's my face, my destiny.
