The following letter appeared in the 11/04 edition of The New York Times:
To the Editor:
I write to say something I feel deeply. I am a woman from Texas and a devout Christian. I am someone who prayed after 9/11 and sent money to help.
I voted for George W. Bush. I will do all in my power to respect the Democratic positions and reach out for unity as a country, as a neighbor. I want the United States to be united! Let's reach out to one another as Americans, regardless of party affiliation.

[WARNING: mucho obscenity; sexism; Christian-bashing; etc., etc,]
I think we touched a raw nerve there.
But, it's okay, it's part of the healing process.
If not they will continue to marginalize themselves.
This marriage issue seems to be at the root of their rage.
(insert joke here)
Wouldn't that be nice. However, their Fed-Gov God has delivered for them: abortion-on-demand, removed the ten commandments from 'public' areas, nullified Texas buggery laws, redistributed incomes to the benefit of the lazy,-- precisely the type of 'central' government our founders fought courageously to overthrow and tried to ensure would never shackle it's citizens again.
They want to see hatred, let them show-up on the battlefield and face those who will resist their re-colonization plan under a federal banner by patriots of the sovereign states. And it won't just be the South rising again. It'll be lots and lots of red* areas. (*thanks to USA Today for screwing up the color scheme-dumb*sses).
I think that was the same one that expressed such sentiment toward her pastor.
They are ill. Truly ill.
I think that was the same one that expressed such sentiment toward her pastor.
The majority of the people on DU are very upset with
the gay marriage issue. Get it?
The name should be changed to the "queer underground"
Expose them every chance they give us.
I feel very good after seeing the comments of the foul scum we defeated. I don't consider hateful trash like the DU'ers as fellow Americans. They are truly the enemy of all mankind.
Feel the love.
Those people are just flat-out insane aren't they? Even if you ignore their silly juvenile profanity you have to wonder why they think Muslim fanatics are supposedly so wonderful compared to the Christians they hate so openly. Do these demented punks think their beloved Al Quaeda advocates gay marriage? Or "reproductive freedom" for women? Do they think the Muslim world's history displays more "tolerance" than the western world's history? As always Democratic slugs despise Christianity and ONLY Christianity. All other religions are apparently protected by the word "diversity."
