It is interesting to see how little geographical support Kerry got EVEN IN THE STATES HE WON.
And it is most vexing that the democrats are so inept that they couldn't even trick all of us "morons" and "idiots" to vote for John Kerry.
They'll never get it.
They just lost Iowa... a state no Republican has carried for 20 years. Somewhere Up There, The Gipper is having the last laugh.
Let's summarize:
Bush won.
Bush won.
And Bush won.
You forgot one thing...
Bush Won!
They group - and cause damage like a disease -
Watch out swing states - expect to see "them" move into the states they don't yet control -
I REALLY want to print that map! I'm having lunch with the in laws here in MA, unfortunately the map came out all long and drawn like Lurch's face! Any ideas?
Yeah! We voted our little hearts out here in the OC! Go Bush! I'm glad we got a little recognition! :-)
one more thing......Bush won !
I read somewhere that Kerry carried 60% of Massachusetts. Does anyone know how much of Texas Bush carried?
I was surprised to see that Staten Island, one of the NYC five boroughs voted 57% for Bush and only 41% for Kerry.
Those are interesting looks at the election. I noticed they had a decrease in support for the President in the county where I live. In fact his margin of victory remained the same and he received over 10% more votes than he did in 2000.
Which one? There's six different maps there.
COOL.
All this stuff was printed in a special "election" section in the Thursday NYT. Go to the local library and you can make copies of it. It is indeed a very good breakdown of the vote and also compares things to the 2000 vote. I saved that section for future reference.
I live on Staten Island -- it's the borough where most of the city's firefighters and cops live. I think 9/11 had a big influence on the vote here. And the 57% vote is the most SI has ever given a presidential candidate. Pretty impressive, especially considering the borough went narrowly for Clinton in 1996, and Gore in 2000.
One other thing -- living here proves my theory that those ribbon bumper stickers about supporting the troops and such are really stealth Bush bumper stickers. I didn't see a single Bush bumper sticker, but I see tons of those ribbon stickers every day.
But let me say this, Bush didn't just win....Bush WON!
My liberal friends have accused me of gloating. I say, "Guilty as charged"!
I believe (on windows) if you hold alt-prntscrn it will save an image of the window to the clip board. You can then paste it into any program and print it out.
I still can't get enough of this map! lol
