Mccain/Rice would be a lock in the general election.

McCain kinda gives me the creeps, he reminds me of Peter Lorre when he laughs.

McCain at the top of the ticket is not a good idea if you want the right wing of the party to be in play. He is liberal let's just face facts. John Kerry wanted him as his running mate. He is also in so close to the MSM I do not trust him. If the MSM likes him that spells trouble in my book.

I think it would be an interesting ticket, but with severe limitations. McCain is not a conservative and has the Savings & Loans baggage (amongst others) but will draw moderate/liberal Republicans (whatever they may be) and conservative to moderate demoCrats. Condi will draw women and minorities but has never been elected as a candidate. The real Republican base may hold their nose and vote for McCain, but the Republican President candidate needs to be a conservative.

I suggest the Presidential candidate needs to be a conservative to get the base to vote and draw the new voters. Ronald Reagan was a conservative. His more liberal Vice President, Bush, only won once. President G. W. Bush, as a conservative, has now won twice. Conservatives will always vote if they have the opportunity and the candidate. Some of us will even walk across broken glass - or drag our wounded bodies across broken glass to vote for a conservative.
