Kofi needs to rush in there personally and be a human shield.
The subsequent events would solve a lot of problems.

I wish, but there are thousands eager to take his place at the UN.

Time to pack up the Big Top on Turtle Bay and send Goofy Annan and his circus of clowns to Brussles...

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned leaders of the United States, Britain and Iraq that another full-scale assault on the rebel-held city of Fallouja would further alienate Iraqis and disrupt elections planned for January.Since the Kofster is involved one might suspect that money is involved. Where would following the money lead?

Zarqawi has probably promised to resume kickback payments to Kofi Junior once he and al Qaeda take over Iraq.

how did Mr. Annan got into the Secretary General position? ...he keeps on interfering operations against terrorism... is he one of the benefeciaries of Oil-For-Food Scam?
To: NCjim
Kofi:
The people of the most powerful nation in the world have spoken, and they rejected the candidate of U.N. subjugation... Also, we're not REAL happy that it looks like you were lining your pocket by helping Saddam Hussein while he was murdering his people and shooting at our pilots...
Bearing that in mind, why don't you just STFU for a bit while the grown-ups take care of business...
To: Boundless
Maybe he will send the UN army to defend the city, er, I forgot the US IS the UN's army. Never mind. If Bush keeps it up, they are going to hit him with a resolution.
To: NCjim
It is a crime that the Oil For Food scandal has been swept under the rug.
I wish we could get the Repubs to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US. They do not deserve any legitimacy, and the US participation in such a corrupt socialist nation gives it legitimacy (along with the Old Media).

I am SO tired of hearing about what Kofi thinks.
I seem to remember hearing that you should lead, follow, or get out of the way.

Six weeks ago, Kofi told us he was worried about the ability of elections because of security problems in Iraq. Now that we are finally going to 'fix' the security problems, he thinks that he can overrule the Iraqi PM and his wishes for the future of Iraq.
Here is where I have
laid out the case with the relevant links. In no uncertain terms, Kofi Annan thinks he can dictate Iraq policy to the Iraqi PM.
"UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned the United States, Britain and Iraq that an assault on Fallujah would risk further alienating the Iraqi people and undermining planned January elections."
We need to ressurrect the 'Bricker Amendment' and get the US out of the United Nations immediately.
To: NCjim
Yeah, Coffee, I'll bet you a mountain of gold against a bucket of crap that the U.S. Army would be happy to lift the seige long enough to let you and your relief army into Fallujah.

What the hell is Kofi's problem anyway.
He doesn't want the government of Iraq to assert monopoly on force in Fallujah, a city in Iraq?
Objectively, what this means is that he is asserting that the city of Fallujah ought to be a sovereign state within Iraq. He is advocating for the breakup of Iraq. He is saying that Iraq's government of Baghdad ought not impose law & order on a city in Iraq. He likes the idea of a lawless Falluljah remaining an untouchable island of chaos & terrorism within Iraq. Heaven forbid a terror haven be wiped out!
What other interpretation is there?
It is the effect of what he saying. Now, I'm sure he doesn't *think* this is what he is saying. I'm sure it's not his motive, either, to argue for a sovereign Fallujahn state.
His motive, of course, is to be on the opposite side from the United States in all things. If it checks the U.S.'s power, he's for it; if it's an expression of U.S. power, he's against it.
I'm just pointing out the absurd levels to which he's willing to go to express his pathological U.S.-hatred.
"Oh Jacques, please tell the Marines to stop it, my shares are in danger... please my dear!"
